Parnership Working

Xplore works very closely with our colleagues within ICS, Education and  Social Work.
 
Xplore  are represented  at Joint Action Teams (Jats) within the schools and are core members along with School Community Support Services, Social Work, Health Educational Psychologist, and the Primary Mental Health team.
 
Xplore Seniors  consistently attend all nine secondary Jats and attend cluster Primary Jats when relevant. School Referral Teams 1-1 workers  attend  the SRTs within in their allocated school to discuss packages of support for young people. This gives  both the school and the Xplore worker the chance to review and plan future support for the young person.
 
Ancrum  Outdoor Centre  
 We work closely with Ancrum who provide an outdoor education programme to Xplore  young people. Outcomes for  young people from this partnership included enhanced leadership skills increased communication skills, decision making and team work.
 
Barnardo's and Xplore have worked closely together to provide additional support for young people.
 
Sports Development  Xplore work closely with sports development to deliver healthy lifestyle courses as part of our essential skills programme. They also work with our teams to provide swimming lessons, football groups and other activities contributing to improvements in physical health and mental wellbeing.
 
Tayside Police Jen Keenan has worked alongside Xplores essential skills group worker to deliver community safety sessions. This has been a very positive  partnership.
 
Young Adult Literacy's Project
 
The young adult litericies project has  worked with Xplore peer mentoring to train young people to become paired readers. This has enabled the peers to support other young people with  reading  skills.
