Lights
Make sure that you turn off the lights when your not in the room.
Screensavers
If your computer always has to be on you could set the screen saver
to come on sooner so that it is at least doing something worthwhile
why no one is using it.
Can Banks
Get can banks to recycle drinks cans.
Taps
Don't leave the tap running.
Print Preview
Make sure you use print preview before you print to stop wasting
paper.
TV
Don't leave your tv on standby.
Toilets
Don't flush litter down the toilet.
Cards
If you receive cards for birthdays, Christmas etc. recycle the envelopes.
Showers
When you have a shower have it with the heat down one level to save
on the heating.
Shopping
If you're out shopping, train yourself to take your own bags rather
than keep using the stores own.
Walk to school
If you walk to school, ask other kids if they want to walk with
you rather than let their parents drive their kids to school.
Shut doors
Shut doors to keep heat in. Also don't leave the doors to your fridge/freezer
open longer than neccessary.
News for free
Why pay to have newspapers delivered to your house? You could read
the items online. It will save you money and reduce the amount of
waste paper you produce.
Old Clothes
Send your old clothes to charity shops or clothing bins so other
children can use them. Or you could hold a second hand clothes sale
at school to raise money.
Smoking
Try to quit or cut on smoking. Smoking pollutes the air and leads
to cutting off trees.
