The Longest Yard
(12A)
by RS
The film is a comedy starring Adam Sandler,
about prison guards and cons going against each other in an American
Football match. It is a really funny film. Adam Sandler plays Crewe
who is asked when he goes to prison to coach the cons to play against
the guards by the warden.
IT was really fun my favourite bit was when
the black guy (Switoswki) got his nose broke by big guy because
he was acting like a kid. I liked the entire movie I can't pick
a bad bit.
The rating of the film was 12A: I think
this was too low because all the swearing, etc. 12 year olds will
pick up on the attitudes and swearing in the film. I think it should
have been an 18. I give the film 5 stars.

The
Longest Yard (12A)
by EL
The film stars Adam Sandler as the main
character, with supporting actors Chris Rock and Burt Reynolds.
My favourite character was not one of the main ones though, it was
the part played by Bob Sapp (Switoswki) who is a big black guy who
acted like a kid - he reminded me of Shrek.
The film starts with Crewe (Adam Sandler)
drink driving and being chased by the police. He ended up crashig
his car into the police, so he ended up in prison. In prison he
didn't like it and got asked by the warden to get a team together
to play against the prison guards. They all entered because they
wanted to beat the guards and they were racist. They called them
racist words and beat some inmates up. In the end Crewe's team beat
the guards, and when Crewe went to get the winning ball the warden
ordered that one of the guards shot him as he thought he was trying
to escape from the prison.
My favourite scene was when the big guy
(Switoswki) who acts like a baby was told by Crewe during the game
that the guards had been racist and he beat them up. There is nothing
I didn't like about the film.
I think that the 12A rating is too high
and that it should be a PG or a 12. I give the film 4 stars.

The
Longest Yard (12A)

The Longest Yard is action/ sad/ comedy
starring Adam Sandler. He is a character called Crewe. At the start
of the film Crewe locks his wife in a cupboard and then goes drinking
in the car. She calls the police and says her car has been stolen.
The police start chasing Crewe, and it ends up on T.V Then Crewe
goes to jail.
When he gets there he gets asked to start
an American football team to play the guards. He starts to look
for players in the jail and finds many including the basketball
players. Crewe and Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds) coach the team.
Then Crewe’s friend the caretaker gets killed. The caretaker
though before he died ordered team tops, the cons team was called
‘ mean machine’. Crewe’s team was winning by half
time so the warden came and asked Crewe to fix the game so the guards
win or he would pin the caretakers murder on him. Crewe was going
to fix the game but changed his mind and in the end the cons one.
At the end of the film the guard who had been giving Crewe a hard
time told him that he knew he never had nothing to do with the caretaker’s
murder and that he would not let him get the blame.
I think the whole film was really funny
and there was good actors in it. The rating of the film is good
as a 12A if anything it could be lowered. The UGC cinema was nice
and clean but the food was really really expensive. I give the film
a rating of 4 stars.

Our House
by RB
My favourite type of film is a chick flick. At
the moment my favourite film is OUR HOUSE a comedy starring Ben
Stiller (Alex) and Drew Barrymore (Nancy), and an old woman that
is about 95 years and she is a tenant of the new lease that the
couple have bought over. The terms of the lease state that the couple
have to leave the old lady in her granny flat as long as she is
alive. The old lady stays upstairs and she tortures them, by playing
music and leaving on her loud TV all night so they cant get to sleep.
The reason I like the film is because it
is really funny when the old lady plays music all night and keeps
everyone awake and she feeds Alex and Nancy out of date food. It
is gross when Alex eats crackers that the old lady gives him that
are out of date with out of date Crème freche. I think that
there are no bad parts of the film and that it is really fun all
the time.
The rating of the film is a 12A; I think
that this is a good rating as is may not be suitable for younger
people. In all I would give the film 5 stars.
